KARACHI, Feb 11: A squash player was deprived of his passport and other valuables by bandits in Saddar area on Saturday night.

Police said Saad Shahid had gone to a fast food shop leaving his mother in the car when two bandits took her at gunpoint and escaped with a bag and other valuables.

The bag contained Shahid's passport and currency.

The squash player said the passport had French visa where he was to take part in French Open in three days time.
