CHAKWAL, Feb 9: A man was awarded capital punishment while his father and brother were imprisoned for life in a dual murder case.

Mohammad Khan, a resident of Dhok Parhal of tehsil Talagang gunned down his sister, Amina Bibi, and her husband, Mohammad Asim on June 8 2011 with the help of his father Lal Khan and brother Mohammad Imran.

Amina Bibi married Mohammad Asim who was a soldier in Pakistan Army on her will. Her act enraged her elders.

The killers had disappeared after committing the crime. The police arrested them on June 27, 2011.

On Thursday after a trial of seven months, Additional District and Sessions Judge Talagang Zahoor Ahmad while finding all the allegations true sentenced Mohammad Khan to death.

The judge jailed Lal Khan and Mohammad Imran for life and also imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on each culprit.
