KARACHI, Nov 18: Filthy water gushing out from a choked sewerage line has spread over a street in Orangi Town’s Sector 1-C, posing a serious health hazard to residents and passersby.

Residents of the locality said that the sewerage water coming out from some choked gutters often remained stagnant in front of their houses, but the concerned officials had not yet taken measures to remove the fault responsible for such a menace despite the fact that a number of complaints had been lodged with them.

“ The students of the nearby Ebrahim Alibhoy School have to passing through the filthy water in front of gates of the school for the last one month,” they said adding that the schoolchildren and those residing in the vicinity might be exposed to diseases if the choked sewerage line was not cleared immediately.
