ATTOCK, Jan 31: A man was arrested on Tuesday as he was trying to enter the session court complex with weapon.
District police headquarters said the police officials, deputed at the main entry gate of district session courts, intercepted a man, Mohammad Yaseen, a resident of Surgsalar village and recovered a pistol and 18 bullets from his possession during search. The accused was later handed over to the city police.
Meanwhile, police also arrested 16 outlaws including Shoaib, Munir Ahmed, Ahmed Baksh, Mohammad Saddique, Mehran Sajjad, Naveed Hussain, Mohammad Nouman, Akhlaq Ahmed, Shah Fiaz, Mohammad Riaz and Gul Sher Khan and recovered two pistols, a 12-bore rifle, a 7-MM gun, 50gram heroin and 260gram hashish from their possession.
Moreover, Bahtar police arrested six gamblers including Naveed Khan, Mohammad Imran, Mirjan, Younis Khan, Syed Mohammad Khan and Khalid Mehmood from Pir Shahi village and recovered Rs85,300 stake money, six mobile phones and a car from their possession. Separate cases were registered against the accused by the respective police stations.— Correspondent
