DADU, Nov 29: A large number of transporters and drivers of public transport held a demonstration on the Indus Highway, near Khudabad, on Friday against two excise police officials.

The transporters alleged that two inspectors of the excise police, Dadu, Jameel Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz, had stopped their vehicles on Dadu-Sehwan road because they had refused to pay them “monthly” bribe.

They appealed the high-ups of the excise police to take action against the two officials.

DIES: A minor boy, Kaloo Abro, 6, died after being hit by a truck on the Indus Highway at Kakar on Friday when he was crossing the road.

The Kakar police impounded the truck but its driver managed to escape.
