CM secretariat still in NAB possession

Published November 29, 2002

LAHORE, Nov 28: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is still occupying 5-Club Road, the secretariat of the Punjab chief minister, making the recently appointed staff to sit at two different places in the city.

“The secretariat building is near the official residence of the chief minister in the GOR and the proximity had always helped run the affairs smoothly,” official sources said here on Thursday.

The officials appointed to the secretariat were working in the Freemasons Hall and in the Alfalah Building.

“The NAB authorities have been requested to vacate the secretariat building but still it is under their possession,” they said.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government transferred Kasur EDO (Revenue) Capt Saif Anjum (retired) and posted him as chief minister’s personal staff officer.

Punjab Crimes Branch SP Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan was also made the CM’s personal staff officer.
