Helping the police

Published January 20, 2012

IT is a norm for police staff to stand guard at security pickets, where they not only bear the brunt of extreme weather but also face a risk to their lives, owing to lack of proper safety equipment in the event of any terrorist attack.

One can find them lighting fires to protect themselves from the harsh cold weather. The job of these personnel is tough and risky. The authorities concerned should provide them with proper equipment and facilities, so that they can perform their duties to their best capacity.
