ATTOCK, Jan 11: As many as 150 students of Government Postgraduate Collage were booked on the charges of storming the office of Executive District Officer (EDO) Education and damaging computers, furniture, record and other property.

The case was registered by the city police on the complaint of EDO Education; however, no student was nominated in the case. It is pertinent to mention here that hundreds of students staged a protest demonstration last Monday against the faulty result de-clared by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi.

During the protest, the students turned violent and attacked the EDO Education office.

Whereas, the parents condemned the registration of criminal case against the students and asked the district police to withdraw it because the move could put future of the students at stake.

They asked the Punjab government to take action against the BISE officials responsible for announcing faulty result asa large number of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) students were declared fail.

Meanwhile, Punjab Teachers Association Attock district also condemned Police and district administration for their failure to prevent the protesting students from attacking the EDO Education office.

The teachers' body demanded of the Punjab government to resolve the matter amicably and avoid taking any punitive action against the students.
