LAHORE, Jan 11: A 24-year-old youth was found shot dead under mysterious circumstances in a car near Allah Ho Chowk in Township here on Wednesday.

Police shifted the body to a hospital for an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The Township station house officer said the victim was identified as Usman. He said the victim was found in the car with a single bullet wound to his temple in the evening. He, however, said the weapon was not present in the car and officers only recovered a casing of the weapon from the car.

WATCHMAN KILLED: A 42-year-old watchman died of a bullet wound at his workplace in Afzaal Park of Harbanspura on Wednesday.

Quoting house owner Shahid, Harbanspura police said his watchman Muhammad Saeed was apparently cleaning his rifle when it went off and a bullet hit him. The injured was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wound.
