VEHARI, Jan 10: Pakistan People's Party MNA Mian Azeem Khan Daultana met with a fatal accident early on Tuesday morning near Kotwali Bridge on his way to Luddan, some 30-km from here.

Police said Azeem Khan's car skidded off the road and turned upside down on Kotwali Bridge near Luddan.

IIis driver died on the spot while Daultana succumbed to his injuries on way to Vehari DHQ Hospital.

Daultana was nephew of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Tehmina Daultana. IIe was also serving as federal parliamentary secretary for information and broadcasting.

Daultana had made it to the National Assembly from NA-168 in the 2008 election for the first time by defeating Ishaq Khan Khakwani of the PML-Q.

According to sources in the family, his marriage was due in two weeks.
