ISLAMABAD, Jan 8: As many as 1,300 Pakistani foreign qualified MBBS and dentistry students appeared for Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) registration exam at Pak-China Centre on Sunday.
According to an official of the PMDC, medical students who have acquired degrees from foreign medical institutions appear in tests for getting registration which opens avenues for them besides making them eligible for medical practice in the country.
The exam, he said, was held under an arrangement of National Examination Board (NEB) for Foreign Students. Foreign qualified doctors have to register with the NEB so that they can appear in the PMDC registration exam, said the official. He explained that it was theory paper while the clinical paper and viva will be held in March.—Staff Reporter
