Qazi meets Amir Aziz

LAHORE, Nov 24: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal’s parliamentary leader and Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad met Dr Amir Aziz Khan at the latter’s residence here on Sunday.

Sympathizing with Dr Amir, Qazi Husain expressed his apprehension over the increasing intervention of foreign secret agencies in the country.

He condemned maltreatment of the known orthopaedist and urged the need for restricting the activities of foreign agencies in the country. Dr Amir showed his gratitude over the MMA efforts for his release.

GNA meeting: Parliam-entary party of the Grand National Alliance decided on Sunday to extend full support to alliance nominees for chief minister, speaker and deputy speaker.

A meeting of the party held here also decided to use its influence for obtaining maximum support for the candidates.

Husain Jahanian Gardezi presided over the meeting which discussed present political situation and formation of government in the Punjab.
