KARACHI, Nov 23: Expressing grave concern over change of date of Sindh Assembly session, the Pakistan People’s Party has described the decision as an attempt to impose a minority government in the province.

In a statement on Saturday, PPP acting secretary-general Mian Raza Rabbani criticized the government for withdrawing an earlier notification and summoning the Assembly to meet on Nov 28 instead of Nov 25.

“The delay in summoning the assembly is based on mala fide intention and is an attempt to subvert the mandate of the people by trying to impose a minority government in the province,” Mr Rabbani said, adding that,” the People’s Party Parliamentarians is the majority party in Sindh and it is its constitutional and political right to form the government without interference of the federal government.

“The PML-Q has formed the federal government with a majority of one vote through horse- trading.” he alleged.—PPI
