ISLAMABAD: While strongly condemning the blast in Safoora Chowrangi, Karachi, Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik on Friday directed the Rangers and police to enhance their patrolling.

The Minister also discussed the incident with Inspector General Police, Sindh on telephone and sought its details.

He also directed the officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to reach the spot for forensic analysis.

Expressing condolence on martyrdom of the Rangers personnel, Rehman Malik asked the concerned officials to ascertain similarity, if any, between the recent bomb blasts and Friday's incident.

The Minister also asked the IG, Sindh and the Director General, Rangers, Sindh to submit their reports regarding the incident.

It may be mentioned here that three personnel of Law Enforcement Agency died while seven personnel of Rangers sustained injuries in a blast in Karachi's Safoora Chowrangi on Friday morning.
