KARACHI: MMA to adopt new strategy

Published November 22, 2002

KARACHI, Nov 21: In the changed situation, the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal will adopt a new strategy in the province, a Sindh MMA spokesman said on Thursday.

He said, in a statement, that Pakistan People’s Party had caused its own loss by shutting the door of conciliation.

The spokesman said that if the PPP had accepted Maulana Fazlur Rehman as joint candidate of the opposition for the post of prime minister, the MMA would have sided with it in Sindh Assembly, but keeping in view the new situation, the alliance would adopt a new strategy.—APP
