KARACHI, Nov 17: Provincial Labour Minister, Dewan Mohammed Yousuf Farooqui, has said that the present government has selflessly served the cause of the people.

He was speaking at an Iftar party hosted by Director Labour Sindh, Khawar Jamil, at a hotel here .

He said that the as a result of the measures taken by the government, the working of the Worker’s Welfare Board had registered a significant improvement.

He said the Board was performing its functions concerning the provision of housing facilities to labourers,their welfare, scholarships for their children and provision of dowry for their daughters.

He said the govt steps had yielded positive results and restored the confidence of industrialists. Director Labour Dr Khawar Jamil proposed the vote of thanks.—APP
