Mosque burgled

KOHAT, Oct 22: Thieves took away carpets and a ceiling fan from a mosque in Lachi tehsil here on late Friday night.

The police said unknown thieves entered a mosque in Mohallah Shalak Khel and took with them two carpets and a fan. A local resident, Tayyab Mahmood, told Dawn when the people came to the mosque early in the morning to offer prayers they found carpets and a fan missing.

The thieves also burgled a mobile phone shop.

The people of the area asked the SHO of Lachi police to check the increasing incidents of theft and arrest the culprits.—Correspondent
