KARACHI, Oct 21: An anti-terrorism court on Friday indicted five men in a case pertaining to the murder of a journalist.

Judge Khalida Yasin of the ATC-II read out charges against the five men — Faisal Mahmood alias Nafsiati, Syed Mohammad Ali Rizvi, Shahrukh alias Mani, Naveed alias Polka and Shakil alias Malik — with regard to their involvement in the killing of television journalist Wali Khan Babar on Jan 13, 2011 within the remit of the Super Market police station.

However, all of the accused pleaded not guilty and opted to contest the case. The court summoned all prosecution witnesses on Nov 12 to record their statements.— Staff Reporter
