DERA GHAZI KHAN, Sept 30: The secretary food has taken notice of embezzlement of 10,000 wheat bags worth Rs30 million and directed the deputy director (food) to submit a report and pursue cases in the police station, it is learnt.

Rana Faiz had lodged an application with the Anti-Corruption Establishment director, alleging that 10,000 bags stored at a mill were missing.

The mill owner claimed that the department had taken all wheat stock back.

The secretary directed Deputy Director (Food) Muhammad Asad to furnish him with a comprehensive report about the scam and lodge complaint with the police for registration of cases.

The deputy director said the department had cancelled the licence of Khali Flour Mills which had been charged with embezzlement and further action would be taken against its owners.
