LAHORE, Sept 28: The inaugural Under-16 Boys National Hockey Championship will now be played at the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium, Peshawar from Oct 11 to 22 instead of the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.

Earlier, the event was scheduled to be held in Lahore from Oct 1.

However, as the provincial government banned sports activities in the afternoon due to fear of dengue epidemic, it was shifted to Peshawar.

Three teams from Punjab, two from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa apiece and one each from Balochistan, Islamabad, Fata, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will feature in the inaugural edition of the event.

The players are directed to bring Nadra ‘B’ form with them for age verification.
