NBP Basketball

KARACHI, Sept 27: Both the teams of district South — Whites and Greens — together with district West Greens and district East Greens stormed into the semi-finals of the NBP basketball tournament at Arambagh floodlit court the other day.

District South Whites struggled to beat district Central Whites 37-28 after enjoying 22-15 lead at half time.

Akmal Jamil and Talha Abid Malhi equally shared 18 points amongst themselves for winners. Adnan Ali was the other scorer with six. Sajjad and Nazakat scored 10 and 9 respectively for losers.

District South Greens notched up 36-22 victory over district East Whites. The winners led 16-13 at lemon time.

Hammad Khan top scored with 14 and was ably supported by Asghar Khan 9 for the winning outfit. Hammad Hasan and Talha Amjad shone for losers with 14 and 6 respectively.

In the two other matches, district East Greens humbled Malir 46-29 while district West Greens trounced district Central Greens 47-32.
