LAHORE, Sept 23: Pakistan breezed into the second round of the 16th Asian Men’s Volleyball Championships after defeating fancied Thailand in straight sets in Tehran on Friday.

According to the information made available here, Pakistani players demonstrated higher level of game to outshine a much superior rival with a scoreline of 25-19, 25-21 26-28 and finished second in their Group ‘C’ where Japan are placed on the top.

The second round of the Asian premier activity will commence from Sept 25 and the 16 participating teams will have rest on Saturday.—APP
