ISLAMABAD: New CAA chief named

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9: The vice chief of the air staff, Air Marshal Salim Arshad, has been appointed new director-general of Civil Aviation Authority on his retirement from Pakistan Air Force.

According to a notification, Air Marshal Salim Arshad would be retiring from service on November 22, 2002. He would assume the charge of his new office with effect from November 23.

He would take over from Air Marshal Alauddin (retired) as chief of CAA.

Meanwhile, the senior most Air Marshal in the PAF, Air Marshal Syed Qaiser Hussain, has been appointed as vice chief of the air staff with effect from November 23.—APP
