ISLAMABAD, Sept 6: A 16-member squad will leave for Dubai on Wednesday to feature in two competitions — Sheikh Rashid International Volleyball Tournament and Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship.

The International volleyball event will run from Sept 9-14 followed by the Asian Senior Men’s contest, to be staged in Tehran from Sept 20-28.

Secretary, Punjab Volleyball Association M.B. Javed, who supervised the training camp, said that Pakistani players underwent hard training here at the Pakistan Sports Complex for the two events. “The team announced for the first event will remain unchanged for the Tehran contest,” he said.

As many as six teams will participate in the 13th Sheikh Rashid International tournament to be organised by the UAE Volleyball Association (UAEVA).—APP
