KHAIRPUR: Six injured in clash

KHAIRPUR, Nov 8: At least six people were injured in a clash between the Mallah and Jagirani tribes in the Mohabbat village, Nara Taluka, on Friday.

Mallah tribesmen alleged that some Jagirani tribesmen set two of their houses on fire as a result of which all household valuables had been destroyed and some goats had been burnt to death.

PASSENGER DIES: A passenger fell down from the Karachi-bound Awam Express train and died on the spot at the Therhi Phatak, Khairpur, on Friday.

His body remained unidentified and he was laid to rest unclaimed at a local graveyard.

FOUR INJURED: Four people — Khan Mohammad Solangi, Jan Mohammad Solangi, Shakeel Ahmed, and Javed Shaikh — were injured in a clash between two shopkeepers over a petty issue at the Civic Centre here on Thursday.

THREE HURT: Three people — Khalil-ur-Rehman, Abdul Rehman, and Abdul Sattar Bhatti — were injured in a dispute over sharing irrigation water in the Dawood village, near Khairpur, on Thursday.
