KARACHI, Aug 26: A top official of the Sindh Squash Association (SSA) has demanded of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) chief to hold an inquiry in the dismal performance of six-time former champion Pakistan in the world men’s team squash championship in Paderborn, Germany.

“Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman should hold an immediate inquiry against players, coaches and the selectors who have picked the team,” SSA president, Tahir Jamil Khanzada, said in a statement on Friday.

Seeded 12th in the event, Pakistan miserably lost to minnows Malaysia, Denmark and Ireland to be out of top 20 placing. He also asked the PSF chief to hold an inquiry as to why a proper coach was not send with the team.

He reiterated that this was not the first time that a proper coach had not accompanied the team. He cited three instances of Asian junior in Sri Lanka, world junior men’s championship in Quito Ecuador and Commonwealth Games in Delhi last year to strengthen his claim.
