KARACHI, Aug 7: A brilliant Nasir Jamshed century set up a four-wicket win for Karachi Gymkhana Whites over Ali Sports in the Group ‘D’ match of the 26th Karachi Gymkhana Bahria Town Ramazan Cricket Festival at the KG Ground here on Sunday.

Nasir, the Pakistan reject, blasted 11 sixes and six fours in his 63-ball Man-of-the-Match innings of 120 that enabled Karachi Gymkhana Whites reach their target of 176 with one over to spare.

Ali Sports, earlier, made 175-7 with skipper Owais Ahmed Rehmani contributing 76 off 54 balls with five fours and a six.

Meanwhile in Sunday’s morning fixture, Vital Five Club recorded a thrilling three-run victory against Fazal-ur-Rehman Sports in Group ‘C’. Chasing 173, Fazal-ur-Rehman Sports finished at 169-6 with Sameer Khan (61 off 47 balls, six fours and two sixes) emerging as the top-scorer.

Rameez Aziz won the Man-of-the-Match award after claiming four for 35 with his occasional off-spinners.

Summarised scores: Vital Five Club beat Fazal-ur-Rehman Sports by three runs.
