Woman shot dead

GUJRAT, Nov 3: The wife of a former councillor was shot dead allegedly by her brother-in-law over a domestic dispute in Sardarpura locality of Lalamusa on Saturday night.

Kausar Parveen, 40, was sitting along with her children when her brother-in-law, Kamran Sahi, came and opened fire on her. The woman sustained critical injuries and died while being taken to hospital.

Her husband, Younas Sahi, has been in England for the last two years.

Lalamusa city police have registered a case.

Five bandits forced their entry into the house of Ashraf Patwari in Lambhorr and took away Rs85,000 in cash and gold ornaments.

Eight armed men looted cash from the house of Sardar Gujjar.

Saddiq was deprived of cash, a cellular phone and motorcycle by some masked robbers near Langarrian.
