KARACHI, Nov 3: The chief of the Pakistan Muslim League (F), Pir Pagara, has said the nominee of President Gen Pervez Musharraf will also be our candidate for the post of prime minister.

Asked if he had given any assurance to Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, the official candidate of the PML (Q) for the post of prime minister, who called on him here at the Kingri House on Sunday, Pir Pagara said he did not believe in making anyone entertain false hope or in making false gesture. That was why when PPP leaders met him to seek his support, he told them that he be excused.

“As far as Mr Jamali is concerned, he is a PML man, a family friend and a nice person. However, decision about his being installed as prime minister has to be taken by the President,” he added.

Did they seek your support for the PML (Q) nominee for the post of Sindh chief minister?, he was asked. He said for this job we have our own candidate who will be a consensus nominee and his name would be made public within 2-3 days.
