MULTAN, Nov 2: The Punjab Horticulture Authority Director-General has selected the eastern part of the Qasim Bagh fort for the establishment of a cultural village and a food street here.

Mr Kamran Lashari was in the town on Saturday to approve one of the several sites the local district administration had identified for the purpose.

The PHA DG was of the view that Qasim Bagh Fort was a splendid monumental, cultural and spiritual landmark of Multan. Therefore, it should be developed as a tourist and cultural destination in the area.

Later on, he visited 118-year-old Town Hall building and observed that it could be made city hall and city museum. DCO and acting district Nazim Maj Azam Suleman (retd) briefed him about the vision of Multan administration to restore and conserve archeological and cultural city of Multan.
