KARACHI, July 21: Tanveer Dar XI, Colonel Dara XI, Qazi Muhib XI, Munawar-uz-Zaman XI, Habib Ali Kidi XI and Habib-ur-Rehman XI won their matches on day one of the 2nd PHF U-16 Hockey Tournament at the Olympian Iftikhar Syed Sports Academy (OISSA) here.

Tanveer Dar XI beat Saeed Anwer XI 2-1 with Zeeshan and Taha scoring for Tanveer Dar XI and Mohammad Ahmed reducing the margin for Saeed Anwer XI.

Col Dara XI beat A.G. Khan XI 1-0. The goal was scored by Mohammad Ismail. Qazi Muhib XI beat Riazuddin XI 2-0. The goals were scored by Salman and Shahzeb.

Munawar-uz-Zaman XI edged out Latif-ur-Rehman XI 1-0 with the winning goal coming through Shahrukh. Habib Ali Kidi XI beat Khursheed Aslam XI 2-1.

The goals for the winners were scored by Abdul-ur-Rehman and Rehan while Asif got the lone goal for Khursheed Aslam XI. Finally, Habib-ur-Rehman XI beat Munir Dar XI 3-1 with Zeeshan, Mohammad Rafey and Mohammad Ali scoring for the winners and Aslam reducing the margin for Munir Dar XI.—Sports Reporter
