ATTOCK, July 19: Medical Superintendent (MS) of district headquarters (DHQ) hospital on Tuesday served show-cause notice on medical officer (MO) and operation theater (OT) attendant for admitting a murder accused woman in a VIP room to allegedly benefit her in the case, it has been learnt.

According to the notice, MO Dr Asfandyar and OT attendant Mohammad Maskeen allegedly admitted Mrs Andleeb Tariq to the VIP-1 room of the hospital on July 18 at 3.20 pm.

The notice said the woman was reportedly involved in a murder case in Hazro police area.

“You both have allegedly deceived the hospital administration, doctors and staff by not only admitting an alleged murderer in the hospital with negative intention but also provided photocopies of the patient admission form to her,” it said.

The plan came to surface when the relatives of the woman requested a duty doctor to attest the photocopies of the form and other hospital admission record under a false story, it further said.

Whereas the hospital authorities were totally unaware and ignorant about the critical nature of this case, the collaboration with the accused is height of a criminal act and tantamount to serious misconduct, it observed.

The woman, however, was discharged from the hospital at 7 pm after her stay in the hospital about four hours.

“Keeping in view the nature of the case, you both are hereby directed to explain your position within three days of serving this of this notice.”
