KARACHI, July 18: The Anti-Terrorism Court-I, Karachi, on Monday recorded statements of two prosecution witnesses in the Sarfraz Shah murder case against six personnel of the Sindh Rangers and a civilian contractor.

After recording the statements, Judge Bashir Khoso adjourned the hearing till July 19.

Sub-inspector Bahaur Rehman, lance naik Liaquat Ali and constables Mohammad Tariq, Manthar Ali, Shahid Zafar and Mohammad Afzal and the contractor Afsar Khan are facing the trial under the Anti-Terrorism Act for killing Sarfraz Shah in a pubic park in Clifton on June 8.

The youth was shot twice and left to die by the accused as the footage aired by several private TV channels showed, according to the prosecution. —PPI
