KARACHI, July 4: Two young men, including the brother of an alleged gangster, were found shot dead in a Lyari area on Monday, police said.

The officials added that the bodies were lying abandoned on a side of the road near Gul Muhammad Lane in Chakiwara No 2.

They said one of the victims was identified as Juma Khan, in his mid-30s, the younger brother of Mulla Sultan.

“Mulla Sultan is said to be a close aide of Arshad Pappu, leader of one of the gangs operating in Lyari,” said Kalakot SHO Inspector Babar Hameed. Both the bodies were shifted to the civil hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The other victim was yet to be identified, he said.

The SHO showed unawareness about the killers but said the two young men might have fallen prey to the rivalry between criminal gangs in the neighborhood.
