KARACHI: Land Ord 2002 promulgated

KARACHI, Oct 28: The governor has promulgated ‘Sindh Government Land (Cancellation of Allotment, Conversions and Exchanges) (Amendment) Ordinance 2002’ by amending the ‘Sindh Government Land (Cancellation of Allotments, Conversion and Exchanges) Ordinance, 2001.

This ordinance will come into force at once and will be deemed to have taken effect on and from Jan 3, 2001.

According to the amendment in the Sindh Government Land (Cancellation of Allotments, Conversions and Exchanges) Ordinance 2001, hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in Section 2, after clause (V), the following new clause shall be inserted:

“(V-a)” Government Land “includes the land vesting in Government or an autonomous body including a development authority established by law.”

In the Ordinance, in Section 3, between the word “in” and the word “violation”, the world “or” shall be inserted.—PPI
