KARACHI, June 19: Makran Sports won the 1st All-Karachi M. Ishaq Khatri Memorial Football Tournament by beating hosts Hussaini Football Club in the final at the Hussaini Football Club ground here on Saturday.

The goals for the winners were scored by Mohammad Amjad (20th min) and Mohammad Atif (50th min).

The match was refereed by Wali Mohammad Patni, Imran Alam, Mohammad Farooq and Babar Khan with Siddiqui Baba as the match commissioner.

Mr Saleem Karim, president Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA), the chief guest on the occasion, distributed the prizes among the winning teams and players.

Makran Sports’ captain Baba received the winner’s trophy while Mohammad Nadeem, captain of Hussaini FC, received the runners-up trophy as Irfan Memorial Football Club lifted the fair play trophy.

Mohammad Asif, Hussaini FC’s goalkeeper, was given the Best Player of the Tournament award while Hussaini FC striker Shah Khalid received the top scorer award.
