THATTA, June 18: Thatta, one of the most flood-affected districts of Sindh, has been allocated about Rs3 billion under “Flood Emergency Reconstruction Project-Sindh Package”.

Nine important roads, mostly in coastal areas and stretched over 259.46km in length, will be reconstructed with the funds.

EDO works and services Shafiq Ahmed Khumbhati told that the roads included 36km Sujawal-Jhoke road, 32km Sujawal-Shah Yaqeeq road, 38km Sujawal-Jati road, 17km Mirpur Bathoro-Khorwah road and 20km Belo-Daro road which had not been repaired and maintained for the past six to seven years.—Correspondent
