KARACHI, Oct 26: A man died and four others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between a pick-up and a truck at the PIDC roundabout on Saturday morning.

A Datsun pickup (KH-9399), carrying five people, collided with a truck near PIDC roundabout in the Civil Lines police limits.

As a result, Fateh Mohammad, 48, a fisherman, died on the spot. Four others, identified as Jan Hasan, Jan Mohammad, Khair Mohammad and Ali Nawaz, were injured in the accident.

Fateh, father of 10, was going from Mirpur Sakro to the Fisheries to sell his fish catch there. The dead and the injured were shifted to a hospital.

In another accident, 35-year-old Afsheen died after she was hit by a Burraq Coach (PE-3548) in the police limits of Steel Town.

The body was taken to a hospital for autopsy and later handed over to her family for burial.
