Published June 6, 2011

KARACHI, June 6: A Sindh High Court division bench comprising Chief Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi on Monday issued notices to the SSP of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) and his subordinate officials for implicating a petitioner in “false” criminal cases.

Muhammad Shabeer submitted that his relative, Ms Sumaira, was married to Mushir Ahmed, a cousin of SSP Riaz. He contended that the police officer implicated him in two false criminal cases and also demanded Rs200,000 bribe to clear him of false allegations.—PPI
