ISLAMABAD, May 31: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday issued notices to federation, Secretary Food and Agriculture and Chairman Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) seeking their para-wise comments within two weeks in the sacked employees' case.

The single-member bench comprising Justice Mohammad Anwar Kasi resumed the hearing of a petition filed by the sacked employees of PARC through Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed advocate.

During the course of the hearing, Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed apprised the court that the PARC on May 21 terminated services of 19 regular employees including scientific officers.

He said the petitioners were appointed fulfilling all the legal formalities in a transparent manner on regular basis and there was nothing adverse against them.

However, they were dismissed without holding an inquiry and issuance of show-cause notices, he maintained. He said the petitioners were duly qualified and appointed fulfilling all the codal formalities.

The Departmental Selection Committee recommended them to be appointed on regular basis against available vacancies, he said.
