5 flour sale points established

ISLAMABAD, May 26: The administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has established five different points for the sale of flour at the lower rate than that of the market.

ICT Deputy Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmed told Dawn on Tuesday that the flour would be available to the citizens at the price of Rs510 per 20kg. He further said that the flour at lower price was being made available for the people without seeking any subsidy from the government. He said that the decision was taken after the flour mill owners of the ICT agreed to supply flour at the designated locations at the rate less than that of the market.

“We have a bumper wheat crop this year and selling the flour on cheap rates would be a great benefit to the citizens,” said the commissioner.

The deputy commissioner said that currently the flour was being sold in the market at the rate of Rs560 per 20kg and the ICT endeavour would be a great relief for the citizens.

He pointed out that the people could also lodge a complaint with the ICT administration if they failed to get the flour on the subsidised rate from the designated points.— Staff Reporter
