May 17: A young man was stabbed to death and his body was found on the rooftop of his house in Shah Latif Town on Tuesday, police said.

They said that the body of 23-year-old Aminuddin was found by his younger brother when he returned home after staying overnight at his workplace.

“The victim and his family hail from Quetta,” said an official at the Shah Latif Town police station. “He along with his younger brother was living in Gulistan Colony. He used to sleep on the rooftop. His younger brother returned home after finishing his night shift and went upstairs to see him. However, he saw his body there.”

He said that it appeared to be a job of more than one attacker. The police did not find any evidence which could suggest that he was killed while resisting any robbery bid.

“The family denied any enmity between them and any individual or group,” added the official.

Body of ‘wanted’ man found

The body of a young man, who was wanted in some cases of armed robberies, was found in a Malir locality on Tuesday, police said.

They said that the body of 35-year-old Taj Muhammad was found in the Mominabad area within the remit of the Khokhrapar police station.

“The body bore severe torture marks and he was bludgeoned to death,” said an official at the Khokhrapar police station. “The victim was the resident of Ramzan Laasi Goth in Malir and was booked in some robbery cases. His killing appears to be a result of some infighting within his gang.”
