LAHORE, May 4: Karachi scored a crushing 8-0 win over Quetta as four more matches were decided in the third PHF Junior Super Hockey League at National Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.

Skipper Ahmed Zubair and Zohaib Azeem led the onslaught with a brace each after Karachi led 2-0 at the first half. Ahmed Zubair struck in the 30th and 43rd minutes, Zohaib fired home in the 36th and 68th minutes. Ali Noman (26th), Salman Khan (41st), Mohammad Sharjeel (57th) and Abdul Fahad Khan (64th) were the other scorers.

Two-goal Dilbar Hussain guided Faisalabad to a 5-0 win against Multan. Dilbar found the cage in the 49th and 54th minutes. Bilal Qadir (9th), Mohammad Asif (30th) and Mohammad Adnan Anwar (38th) chipped in with one goal apiece.

A 62nd minute strike by two-goal Mohammad Umair helped Sialkot to play a 2-2 drawn game against Lahore. All the goals were scored in the second half.

After Arsalan Sherazi opened the scoring in the 39th minute off a field attempt, Umair restored parity in the 43rd minute by converting a penalty-corner.

Mohammad Fahad salvaged the lead for Lahore in the 51st minute, while also cashing in on a short-corner, before Umair equalised with his second goal.

Three goals from Daud Khalid and two by Zohaib Ashraf propelled PHF Academy to a convincing 8-0 triumph against Peshawar. Daud struck in the 8th, 18th and 55th minute, while Zohaib netted in the 45th and 53rd minutes. Shahid Jamal (10th), M Naveed (26th) and Mohammad Asif Ali (67th) were the other scorers.
