LAHORE: Two goals each by Ali Hassan Faraz and Mohammad Rizwan guided Faisalabad to a massive 9-0 victory against Peshawar on the third day of the PHF U-18 Junior Super Hockey League here at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

Faisalabad led the first half 6-0. Dilbar Hussain drew the first blood in the fourth minute scoring a field goal. Ali Hassan struck his first in the 10th minute, converting on a penalty-corner. Bilal Qadir made it 3-0 in the 11th minute while Ali Hassan banged his second goal in the 21st minute as Faisalabad continued thrashing Peshawar.

Keeping up the onslaught, Faisalabad made it 5-0 in the 25th minute through Adnan Anwar and it was 6-0 when Mohsin Sabir found the cage in the 31st minute.

After the breather, Mohammad Rizwan added two goals in the 42nd and 57th minutes while Sufianullah hit one in the 53rd minute to complete the tally.

Meanwhile, three goals from Mohammad Umair steered Sialkot to a 6-3 win against Multan after the former had taken a 3-1 lead in the first half.

For Sialkot, Umair scored in the 29th, 32nd and 63rd minutes. Mohammad Sabir fired two goals in the 11th and 52nd minutes while Mohammad Ali chipped in with one goal in the 50th minute.

Hafiz Zohaib (23rd), Khurram Shahzad (51st) and Safir Hussain (69th) hit one goal each for Multan.

In another match, Lahore outplayed Karachi 4-0 after earning a 1-0 lead in the first session of play.

Mohammad Fahad (30th), Hafiz Sardar (37th), Zahid Amin (58th) and Mohammad Irfan (60th) scored goals for Lahore.

In the fourth and last match of the day, three-goal Zohaib Ashraf steered the PHF Academy to a resounding 8-0 win over Quetta.

The winners led the first half 5-0.

Zohaib made successful tries in the 15th, 18th and 32nd minutes. Faraz Zafar (21st), Mohammad Asif (34th), Mohammad Naveed (52nd), Daud Khalid (58th) and Shahid Jamal (61st) were the other scorers.
