TURBAT is blessed with a beautiful river which irrigates hundreds of acres in Dasht through the Mirani Dam. A beautiful bridge was constructed some years ago which connected Turbat with other areas of the province.

But it was damaged by floods which hit Turbat four years ago. To this day no serious action has been taken by the government to rebuild this important bridge.

Most importantly, a major problem is the broken bridge at the Kech River. People are facing severe hardships because of this broken bridge. Reconstruction of the bridge was started two years ago. But the bridge has yet to be fully reconstructed.

This, of course, shows the apathy of the authorities concerned towards rebuilding of the bridge which is the only source of communication between Turbat and other parts of the province. The government should take immediate action and rebuild the bridge.
