Record-breaking Sri Lanka off-spinner Muttiah Muralithran bowed out of international cricket on the losing side as India won the World Cup final by six wickets. There was no 100th century milestone for Sachin Tendulkar but the Little Master did not care as he shed “happy tears” after finally getting his hands on the World Cup at the sixth time of asking.

Nice World Cup. I wish I could see more of the Pakistani Greats in Cricket and all other sports. In my home town, I grew up watching Zaheer Abbas, Intaqab Alam, Majod Khan, Wasin Bari, Sarfraz Nawaz. and later Pakistan's magnificent hockey players. I wish I could see such un-hindered Pakistani sportsmen in my lifetime soon. Sports will build bridges, our politicians can not build. Just ask Aisam Qureshi and Bopanna tennis; How often do we see Indians and Pakistanis rooting for the same team.

It is not whether you won or lost but how you played the game, that's what an old saying says. Both the teams played by the rules and hence, are winners. Winning is the onliest thing is ab bad idea.

Although our team needs our whole hearted support, yet their performance should be criticized in a positive manner. The way we fielded and dropped catches was awful and the we batted was more awful. The old man was playing like a test match and the best players played irresponsibly. The spirit and prayers the whole nation had was not even reflecting from the performance of our team for which our prayers were there and whole nation was united

what a match was that ones time I was thinking the match is along with India but the way sri lankans mahila play great in-spite of that Indian goutam gambhir and dhoni played a stunning knock out there to win India but don't forget little master sachin who always contribute in world cut than any other batsman in india with 488 runs with 2hunred and 2 fifties.con...gts Team India

Congrats India. I also want to take this moment to praise Shahid Afridi. After the India Pak match, the way he appreciated Indian team mates is wonderful. Shahid Afridi is really a nice person. He is truely sportive. Some people feel down after they are defeated. But winning and defeating is common in game. Everybody should learn from Shahid afridi for his sportiveness. Long live Shahid Afridi..
