DADU, March 30: Police have claimed to have arrested two bandits after an encounter near Thariri Mohbat on Wednesday.

DPO Dadu Javed Soonharo Jiskani said that police received information that dacoit Wazir Jatoi, along with his three accomplices, was going to Thariri Mohbat town to kidnap someone.

He said that police cordoned the area and arrested Wazir Jatoi and his accomplice whose name was not clear and police were interrogating him as he was hiding his identity.

One Kalashnikov, a rifle and 100 bullets were also recovered from their possession, the DPO said.

He said that Wazir Jatoi carried a head money of Rs500,000. He said that the dacoit was wanted in more than 20 cases of robberies, kidnappings and murder of police officials in Larkana, Dadu and other districts.
