LAHORE, March 15: Operations DIG Rao Sardar Ali has dismissed a sub-inspector (SI) besides suspending from service Faisal Town SHO and muharrar on different charges, says a press release issued on Tuesday.

The DIG sacked Garhi Shahu SI Muhammad Ilyas for his involvement in criminal activities.

The DIG took action against Faisal Town SHO/Inspector Riaz Ahmad and the muharrar when he found during a surprise visit to the police station that a citizen was detained in the lockup without registration of a case against him.

The DIG imposed minor punishments on Inspector Abdul Sattar, Inspector Muhammad Younis, ASI Muhammad Ashiq and constable Kamran Bashir on different charges.
