KARACHI, March 13: Starting Monday Diya Women's Football Club (DWFC) will be celebrating international women's week by holding an inter-club football competition for women in collaboration with the Sindh Sports Board. The tournament to be played in three categories will kick off with the 11-a-side competition to be held at the Aga Khan Gymkhana which will then be followed by nine-a-side and five-a-side events.

Teams interested in taking part in the latter competitions may approach DWFC Secretary Sadia Sheikh for registration.

Additional Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Rafia Haleem will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, Sadia Sheikh has thanked Sindh Minister for Sports Dr Mohammad Ali Shah and Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui for providing them with kits, balls, refreshments and the ground for holding the event.
