PESHAWAR, March 11: The Peshawar High Court chief justice on Friday terminated the services of an additional district and sessions judge/izafi zila qazi, Chitral, Asif Nawaz, for unsatisfactory performance.

According to a press release issued here, Peshawar High Court chief justice Ejaz Afzal Khan took serious notice of the poor performance of the said judge.

“Having examined the record of the judicial officer including his judgments along with the resolutions of the respective bars and the complaints received through different quarters, his lordship was convinced that the performance of the judicial officer during the period of probation was not satisfactory by any means and standards,” the press release states.

It is added: “In the circumstances, the services of Asif Nawaz, Additional District and Sessions Judge/Izafi Zila Qazi, Booni (Chitral) have been dispensed with and he has been terminated for non-satisfactory performance of work, with immediate effect.”
